KloraneLast week I used the last bit of my normal dry shampoo and as we are trying to change all our products to natural alternatives, this dry shampoo with oat milk from Klorane got to follow me home. And it definitely does its job.

We can also help by changing our behaviour of how we shop, consume and waste our food, products and clothes. Choose organic, shop locally produced products, visit your local farmers market, try to make a sensible choice when you buy new clothes. Sometimes it is better to choose the more expensive item when the quality is better and it will last you longer and it might have been produced in a sustainable way. Here is a link to farmers markets in the London area Farmers market ChilliWe planted a chilli seed a few months back and it is really coming along. Lets keep our fingers crossed for that it will keep growing. Next spring we will start planting a lot earlier and we will try to grow a few different herbs, like thyme, rosemary, parsley and basil.
Neal's Yard RemediesEvery day our bodies absorb chemicals from the food we eat, our toiletries and our immediate environment. Our skin is our largest organ, and what you put on your skin will end up in your body. Why not do what we can to minimise contact wherever possible?
Neal's Yard Remedies skincare are made with all natural ingredients, grown in a responsible way to protect our planet. They started over 30 years ago in Covent Garden, London. Today you can still visit their first shop in Covent Garden. All their products are made in England and organic. Soap NutsHave you ever heard about soap nuts? We hadn't either until a few days ago when we saw it on Instagram. Soap nuts are an eco friendly laundry detergent.
Soap nuts grows on the Sapindus tree which plays an important role in the eco system. The trees grow without any pesticide and creates a fertile soil. You need to use 3-6 shells depending on the water condition, if it is soft or hard water in your area. The shells washes efficiently without any phosphates and chemicals and are gentle to your skin and to your laundry. We bought our soap nuts at Budgens in Islington, London. £7.75 for 225 grams of soap nut shells and it will last for 55 washes and 108 washes if you make it into liquid detergent (instructions to make liquid detergent is written on the box).
